Job summary

NMDC Dredging & Marine is seeking a qualified HSE professional to ensure strict adherence to HSE policies, promote safety awareness, and conduct comprehensive site inspections across dredging and marine projects. The role includes coordinating inductions, emergency drills, and investigations of incidents to maintain the highest safety standards.

Responsibilities cover verification of scope-specific HSE requirements, monitoring FRA measures, and ensuring subcontractor compliance with NMDC Group

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in a related field, or equivalent.
• NEBOSH / IOSH Diploma or equivalent internationally recognized HSE certification is preferable.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role and industry; dredging and civil marine project experience is highly preferred.

• Ensure all employees consistently implement the Company’s HSE policies and procedures.
• Promote HSE awareness to field personnel to develop safe working behavior.
• Conduct onsite inspection of site environment, equipment, vehicles, and facilities to ensure compliance with NMDC Group HSE standards.
• Identify and report HSE observations and LSR violations.
• Verify HSE requirements for each work scope.
• Verify implementation of FRA control measures.
• Verify Sub-Contractors HSE performance and NMDC Group standards.
• Deliver effective HSE inductions and coordinate emergency drills and updated procedures.
• Participate in investigation of accidents/incidents and near-misses.
• Monitor maintenance and inspection of life-saving and firefighting equipment; ensure readiness.
• Facilitate onsite HSE toolbox talks and internal meetings.
• Prepare weekly and monthly site HSE reports and statistics.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in a related field, or equivalent

Job description

• Ensure all employees consistently implement the Company’s HSE policies and procedures
• Promote HSE awareness to field personnel to develop safe working behavior
• Conduct onsite inspection (site working environment, equipment, vehicles, facilities) and daily tours to ensure that work practices comply with standards in NMDC Group’s HSE Manual and project-specific HSE requirements.
• Identify and report HSE Observation and LSR violation
• Verify HSE requirements for each work scope
• Verify implementation of FRA control measures
• Verify Sub-Contractors HSE performance and implementation of NMDC Group HSE standards
• Carry out effective HSE induction programs for NMDC Group and subcontractors personnel to ensure HSE requirements and standards awareness. Ensure that updated emergency response procedures are in place and that all personnel knows their respective roles. Coordinate with site management teams to conduct regular emergency drills to ensure the highest level of preparedness in any emergency
• Participate in the investigation of accidents/incidents and near-misses
• Monitor the maintenance and inspection of life-saving and fire-fighting equipment. Ensure that adequate emergency equipment is available and maintained in optimum operating condition
• Participate in onsite HSE internal meetings as a facilitator during the delivery of toolbox talks
• Prepare weekly and monthly site HSE reports and statistics for further action by senior colleagues

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in a related field, or equivalent.
• Holder of NEBOSH / IOSH Diploma or an equivalent internationally recognized HSE certification is preferable
• Minimum 03 years of experience in a similar role and industry; dredging and civil marine project experience is highly preferred
