Job summary

Confidential Careers in Abu Dhabi is seeking a proactive Sports Events Coordinator to plan, organize, and oversee school and club sports events from preparation through completion, and monitor post-event evaluations.

You will manage registrations, schedules, on-site operations, safety compliance, and coordinate with schools, clubs, coaches, athletes, referees, and suppliers to ensure seamless delivery across venues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Event Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience in sports event operations, tournament coordination, or event management.
• Strong understanding of sports event logistics, scheduling, and on-site coordination.
• Excellent organizational, communication, coordination, and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple activities, stakeholders, and operational requirements simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for scheduling, tracking, and reporting.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle unexpected operational challenges.
• Ability to work with schools, sports clubs, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
• Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and outside normal hours when required.
• Ability to work on-site and support event delivery across venues.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and coordinate sports tournaments, championships, and school events from prep to completion.
• Coordinate all operational requirements before, during, and after events.
• Arrange venues, equipment, transportation, and materials for readiness.
• Liaise with schools, clubs, coaches, athletes, referees, suppliers, and organizers.
• Manage participant registrations, team lists, attendance, and documentation.
• Prepare match schedules, allocate venues, time slots, and referees.
• Oversee on-site event operations, coordinate staff, and resolve challenges.
• Ensure health, safety, and compliance with guidelines and venue rules.
• Manage equipment and resources, facilities, and setup readiness.
• Prepare event reports, statistics, and post-event feedback for evaluation.
