Job summary

WorleyParsons Arabia Limited Co is seeking a senior Piping Engineer to lead engineering activities for major Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects in the UAE. You will ensure design integrity, coordinate with Owners, Licensors, Contractors and Vendors, and verify calculations and drawings across FEED and EPC phases.

The role requires ADNOC and offshore project experience, with 15+ years in the field and a preference for PMC experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited university
• Minimum of fifteen (15) years of relevant Oil & Gas or Petrochemical experience
• At least five (5) years in a similar mega projects role
• ADNOC & Offshore project experience required
• PMC experience preferable
• Experience in FEED & EPC phases required

Responsibilities

• Review and approve Contractor’s key deliverables within specified approval durations
• Review and approve equipment and system designs, calculations, drawings and data
• Attend technical meetings with Owner, Licensor, Contractor and Vendors
• Ensure quality and accuracy of Mechanical Piping Engineering design activities and ensure compliance with specs and standards
• Coordinate participation of other engineers in reviews and workshops
• Coordinate vendor prequalification, bid evaluation and performance evaluation
• Review technical bid submissions and perform technical bid analysis

Job description

Responsibilities

Champion the Project Safety culture behaviors and engagement activities. Identify, evaluate and resolve Piping Engineering issues. Review and approve within the specified approval durations the Contractor’s key deliverables and other works within the Mechanical Piping discipline, ensuring compliance with Mechanical Piping design requirements and the Licensors PDPs, which involves the interpretation and review of calculations, specifications, plans, investigations, surveys, structures, system or equipment with relatively few complex features. Review and approve the following Contractor’s deliverables: Equipment design and development; System design including concept sketches and layouts; Testing of materials; Specifications and design calculations; Designs, drawings and data by other Contractors or by Vendors; Engineering studies and reports; Material requisitions for equipment and materials; Material quantity estimates. Review and approve key design documents from Vendors, equipment manufacturers or Subcontractors and prepare comments and recommendations incorporating any comments received from the Owner. Attend technical meetings with Owner, Licensor, Contractor and Vendors. Attend all Project technical sessions by the Contractor such as Design Review Meetings, 3D Model Review Meetings, Constructability, SIL, EIA, HAZOP and HAZID. Ensure quality and accuracy of EPC Contractor’s Mechanical Piping Engineering design activities, system integration and design selection. Supervise and manage the review and approval of Contractor’s work, ensuring compliance with Owner and Project specifications, relevant codes and standards, and industry best practices. Coordinate the required Engineering participation in the development and analysis of various design options and business models. Contribute input and expertise in the development and analysis of various design options and business models to ensure design optimization and validation for the Owner. Coordinate the technical guidance required to develop new specifications and update existing specifications in line with Owner requirements. Coordinate other discipline Engineers’ participation in layout reviews, design reviews and technical workshops. Influence Facilities and Equipment design optimization. Provide technical assistance and coordination with other discipline Engineers. Coordinate technical reviews and analysis during vendor prequalification, bid evaluation and performance evaluation. Coordinate the review of technical bid submissions and perform technical bid analysis.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent from an accredited university, or a minimum of fifteen (15) years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry.
• Must have at least five (5) years of experience in a similar position on mega Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects.
• ADNOC & Offshore project experience is required.
• PMC experience is preferable.
• Experience in FEED & EPC phases is required.
