Specialist Physician – IVF

Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Salary: AED 50,000 – 70,000 per month (estimated)

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct fertility consultations, reproductive health assessments, medical history reviews, and infertility evaluations for patients and couples.
• Develop individualized treatment plans for infertility, ovulation disorders, reproductive endocrine concerns, and assisted conception needs.
• Manage IVF, ICSI, ovulation induction, follicular monitoring, egg retrieval, embryo transfer, and related assisted reproductive technology procedures.
• Interpret ultrasound scans, hormonal profiles, semen analysis, genetic screening results, and other fertility‑related diagnostic investigations.
• Monitor ovarian stimulation cycles, treatment progress, clinical response, medication plans, and patient safety throughout fertility treatment.
• Collaborate with embryologists, fertility nurses, laboratory professionals, anesthesiology teams, counsellors, and other healthcare specialists to support optimal outcomes.
• Provide clear counselling and emotional support to patients during diagnosis, treatment planning, procedure preparation, cycle monitoring, and follow‑up care.
• Maintain accurate medical records, fertility treatment notes, consent documentation, procedure records, outcome reports, and follow‑up plans.
• Ensure compliance with clinical governance standards, UAE healthcare regulations, DOH Abu Dhabi requirements where applicable, and ethical fertility practice.
• Review treatment outcomes, support audit activity, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the fertility service.
• Stay updated with advances in reproductive medicine, IVF technologies, fertility preservation, ART protocols, and international clinical standards.
• Support a respectful, confidential, and culturally aware care environment for patients from diverse backgrounds.

Ideal Profile

• Medical degree such as MBBS, MD, or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution.
• Completed speciality in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Fellowship or subspecialty training in Reproductive Medicine, IVF, or a closely related fertility medicine pathway.
• DOH Abu Dhabi Licence or eligibility is mandatory for Abu Dhabi‑based clinical service.
• Minimum 3‑5 years of experience in IVF, fertility treatments, and assisted reproductive technology within a reputable healthcare facility.
• Proven expertise in IVF, ICSI, ovulation induction, follicular monitoring, egg retrieval, embryo transfer, fertility assessment, and reproductive health management.
• Experience with advanced fertility preservation techniques is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of international fertility treatment protocols, ethical standards, and UAE healthcare expectations.
• Excellent communication, counselling, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with embryology, nursing, laboratory, and multidisciplinary teams in a multicultural healthcare environment.
• Fluency in English is required, and Arabic language ability is an advantage.
