Role Context
The Consultant - IVF and Reproductive Medicine will provide specialist care for patients and couples seeking fertility evaluation, assisted conception, and advanced reproductive treatment. Although the recruitment location is Dubai, United Arab Emirates, the appointed consultant will work in Saudi Arabia and support a fertility service where clinical accuracy, emotional sensitivity, ethical practice, and multidisciplinary teamwork are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed fertility consultations, review medical history, assess reproductive health concerns, and develop individualized treatment plans for patients and couples.
- Perform IVF procedures, including ovarian stimulation monitoring, egg retrieval, sperm preparation coordination, embryo transfer, and related assisted reproductive interventions.
- Manage advanced ART procedures and treatment pathways, including ICSI, embryo biopsy coordination, fertility preservation planning, and complex infertility care.
- Monitor patients throughout fertility treatment, including medication protocols, hormonal response, follicular tracking, ultrasound evaluations, and treatment cycle progress.
- Interpret diagnostic tests, reproductive hormone results, ultrasound findings, semen analysis reports, genetic screening results, and fertility‑related investigations.
- Provide evidence‑based recommendations for infertility treatment, IVF cycles, embryo transfer timing, reproductive endocrinology concerns, and follow‑up care.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, embryologists, geneticists, psychologists, nurses, laboratory teams, and other specialists to ensure holistic patient management.
- Educate patients on fertility options, IVF procedures, expected outcomes, treatment risks, medication use, embryo‑related decisions, and emotional aspects of care.
- Provide guidance and training to nurses, embryologists, junior doctors, and clinical staff involved in reproductive medicine services.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation, consent records, treatment cycle notes, procedure reports, laboratory coordination records, and follow‑up plans.
- Ensure compliance with Saudi regulatory standards, ethical requirements, fertility center policies, patient confidentiality, and clinical safety protocols.
- Participate in reproductive medicine research, clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, case reviews, and continuous professional development.
- Stay updated with advancements in IVF, reproductive endocrinology, assisted reproductive technology, embryo selection, and fertility treatment techniques.
Ideal Profile
- Medical degree such as MD or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Board certification in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
- Minimum 5 years of experience performing IVF and advanced reproductive procedures.
- Must hold or be eligible for Saudi Commission for Health Specialties licensing.
- Strong expertise in reproductive endocrinology, infertility diagnosis, IVF protocols, assisted reproductive technology, and fertility treatment planning.
- Proficiency in ICSI, embryo biopsy, and other advanced ART techniques.
- Experience working in a high‑volume fertility center or specialized reproductive medicine unit.
- Strong ability to monitor treatment cycles, interpret reproductive investigations, and adjust protocols based on patient response.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to support patients and couples through sensitive fertility journeys.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced clinical environment with embryologists, nurses, geneticists, psychologists, and obstetric teams.
