Job summary

Cloud Spaces is seeking a proactive MEP Specialist to join our Operations team, overseeing electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general maintenance across multiple sites. The role focuses on coordinating maintenance requests, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery of works.

You will support the Operations Manager, manage vendors, and maintain accurate maintenance records in our CMMS/ERP, while travelling between locations as required.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Building Services.
• 2–4 years of relevant MEP/facilities experience.
• Experience coordinating contractors across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate MEP activities across Cloud Spaces locations, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, and general maintenance.
• Assess maintenance requests, identify technical requirements, and coordinate actions.
• Serve as a coordination point for technical issues and follow up on resolutions.
• Suggest practical solutions to improve operational efficiency and reliability.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance and monitor timelines.
• Inspect completed works for quality and compliance.

We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled MEP Specialist to join our Operations team and support the effective management of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general maintenance activities across our locations.

Role Overview

The MEP Specialist will support the Operations Manager in coordinating and monitoring MEP maintenance activities, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues, quality execution of works, and compliance with applicable safety and operational standards.

The role requires strong technical knowledge, effective vendor coordination, and the ability to manage multiple maintenance requirements across different locations. The successful candidate will contribute to operational reliability, service quality, and the continuous improvement of maintenance processes.

Key Responsibilities

MEP Operations and Technical Support

• Coordinate MEP activities across Cloud Spaces locations, covering electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, painting, and general maintenance.
• Assess maintenance requests, identify technical requirements, and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.
• Serve as a key coordination point for technical issues, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.
• Identify recurring technical issues and recommend practical solutions to improve operational efficiency.

Maintenance Planning and Quality Control

• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities to support the reliability and functionality of building systems.
• Monitor work progress, prioritize maintenance requirements, and ensure completion within agreed timelines.
• Inspect completed works, where required, to verify compliance with approved specifications and quality standards.
• Escalate technical risks, service delays, and unresolved issues to the Operations Manager.

Vendor and Contractor Management

• Coordinate with MEP contractors, technicians, and service providers to arrange inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
• Support the identification and sourcing of suitable vendors based on technical requirements and operational needs.
• Assist in reviewing quotations, scopes of work, and technical submissions under the guidance of the Operations Manager.
• Maintain effective vendor communication and ensure service reports and relevant documentation are properly recorded.

Systems, Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain accurate MEP records in the company ERP or maintenance management system, including work orders, maintenance logs, and service histories.
• Ensure technical reports, inspection records, and supporting documentation are properly organized and updated.
• Prepare maintenance summaries and operational reports to support tracking, decision-making, and performance monitoring.

Site and Project Coordination

• Provide on-site coordination and supervision support for MEP maintenance works, as required.
• Assist with technical requirements related to new location openings, fit-outs, refurbishments, and post-opening snagging activities.
• Coordinate the identification, tracking, and closure of outstanding technical defects.

Health, Safety and Compliance

• Support adherence to applicable health and safety requirements, building regulations, and internal operational standards.
• Coordinate technical inspections, certifications, and compliance checks related to MEP systems.
• Promote safe working practices among contractors and service providers during maintenance activities.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or technical certification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience in MEP, facilities management, building maintenance, or a similar technical role.
• Practical knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, painting, and general maintenance works.
• Experience coordinating contractors, service providers, and maintenance activities across multiple locations.
• Familiarity with ERP systems or computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
• A valid UAE driving licence and willingness to travel between locations as required.
