Job summary

LEAMS Education in Dubai is seeking an experienced SEN Teacher / Special Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or Psychology with relevant teaching experience and is currently in the UAE, ready to join immediately.

Candidates with Own/Spouse/Dependent visas are preferred. The role focuses on Inclusion policy implementation, individualized planning, and collaboration with parents and staff to support students with special needs

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Special Education or Psychology with relevant teaching experience.
• Currently in UAE and ready to join immediately.
• Candidates with Own/Spouse/Dependent visa preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure inclusion policy objectives are reflected across all phases of the school.
• Assess students’ skills to determine their needs and to develop teaching plans.
• Adaptation of the curriculum and its assessment to meet individual student needs
• Recording of learning data related to SoD students and monitoring progress
• Creating Individual Education Plans or Behaviour Plans by liaising with the SLT, School Counselor, Class Teacher and Parents
• Implement IEPs, assess students’ performance, and track their progress.
• Plan, organize, and assign activities that are specific to each student’s abilities.
• Discuss student’s progress with parents, teachers, counselors, and administrators.
• Mentor LSA's who work with students with special needs.
• Previous experience of working in an inclusive school is preferred
• Candidates in Sponsored/Own Visa preferred.
