Job summary

American Hospital Dubai is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist specializing in Special Chemistry and Functional Medicine. You will perform high-complexity testing, ensure specimen quality, validate results, and troubleshoot advanced analyzers within approved lab scope.

The role requires DHA license/eligibility, strong knowledge of clinical chemistry and immunoassay principles, and experience with LIS and analyzer middleware.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science or related field.
• Current DHA license/eligibility to practice in UAE.
• Knowledge of CAP, DHA, JCI, and ISO 15189 standards preferred.
• Experience with automated chemistry/immunoassay platforms.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform specialized chemistry and functional medicine testing within scope.
• Ensure specimen acceptability and quality control per SOPs.
• Operate and maintain analyzers; calibrate and troubleshoot equipment.
• Verify results and escalate significant findings as needed.
• Maintain LIS records and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide guidance and training to students and trainees.
