Job summary

AMERICAN HOSPITAL in Dubai seeks a Medical Laboratory Technologist specializing in Special Chemistry and Functional Medicine. You will perform high-complexity testing, assess specimens, and ensure accurate results within CAP, DHA, and JCI standards.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, DHA license/eligibility, and experience with chemistry/immunoassay platforms. You will support quality control, instrument maintenance, and training of students in a fast-paced

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field.
Current DHA license/eligibility as MLT where applicable.
Knowledge of CAP, DHA, JCI standards is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform specialized chemistry and functional medicine testing within the approved scope.
Assess specimen acceptability and reject unsuitable specimens as per policies.
Conduct analytical testing with adherence to SOPs and turnaround times.
Review and verify analytical results, escalating unusual findings as needed.
Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot specialized analyzers and equipment.
Maintain documentation in LIS and ensure accurate record keeping.
Provide guidance and mentoring to students and trainees.
Participate in quality control, calibration, proficiency testing, and regulatory inspections.
