The Sous Chef supports culinary operations, ensuring food quality, efficiency, safety, and training while contributing to menu development and cost control. Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE). Experience: 5-6 years.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in menu planning and development; supervise kitchen staff; manage inventory; ensure food safety and hygiene; train junior staff in a fast-paced environment.
  • Oversee kitchen operations; develop innovative menus; implement cost control measures in a high-volume environment; ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Lead pastry operations when assigned; maintain quality and hygiene standards; foster staff development.
  • Prepare and cook food; maintain quality standards; ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the Chef de Cuisine/Executive Chef; coordinate with departments; support health and safety initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Experience as a Sous Chef with strong culinary techniques; leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage kitchen operations, supervise staff, maintain hygiene, and control costs.
  • Relevant education or diploma in culinary arts; locally available or GCC-friendly often preferred.
