Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and discuss their wine preferences confidently.
• Present wine lists and explain available selections.
• Recommend wines that complement menu choices and individual tastes.
• Provide accurate information about grape varieties, regions, vintages, and producers.
• Serve still, sparkling, fortified, and dessert wines correctly.
• Follow proper bottle presentation, opening, decanting, and pouring techniques.
• Maintain suitable glassware and service equipment.
• Check wine condition before and during service.
• Coordinate pairings and service timing with culinary and restaurant teams.
• Support personalized recommendations across different dining concepts.
• Handle guest questions with clarity and enthusiasm.
• Maintain accurate knowledge of current wine lists and product availability.
• Assist with cellar organization, stock rotation, and inventory checks.
• Monitor storage temperatures and wine-handling conditions.
• Report low stock, damaged bottles, or quality concerns.
• Help prevent waste and protect high-value inventory.
• Participate in tastings, briefings, and product-training sessions.
• Share wine knowledge with restaurant colleagues.
• Maintain detailed and discreet guest-preference information.
