Job summary

Client of Teach Away Inc. is seeking a qualified social work/counselling professional to provide social-emotional support to students within a UAE school setting.

The role involves assessment, planning, and delivery of intervention services, with collaboration among parents, teachers, and leaders to promote welfare and positive learning outcomes. Responsibilities include safeguarding, maintaining confidential records, and coordinating with external agencies to support students and families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in a relevant field and relevant license or professional qualification preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in social work, student welfare, counselling or a school-based support role.
• Strong knowledge of child development, safeguarding and student wellbeing practices.
• Excellent communication, counselling and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with students, parents, staff and external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide social emotional and behavioral support to students in accordance with school policies and procedures.

• Conduct awareness programmes and workshops related to student wellbeing safeguarding and personal development.
• Support the school's safeguarding and child protection procedures in accordance with ADEK requirements.
