Job summary

TalentBridgeDubai is seeking a School Social Worker to support students' emotional, social, and academic wellbeing within a collaborative school environment in the UAE. Responsibilities include counseling, assessments, and developing individualized support plans to promote resilience and success.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Social Work, with a Master's preferred, UAE licensing eligibility, and at least 2 years of school-based experience. Fluency in English is required; Arabic is a plus.

The School Social Worker will play a vital role in supporting the emotional, social, and academic well-being of our students. Working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals, you will assess student needs, develop and implement individualized support plans, and empower students to thrive in a positive learning environment. You will be a passionate advocate for students, promoting their mental health, resilience, and overall success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions for students facing academic, behavioral, or social-emotional challenges.
• Partner with teachers to identify students who may benefit from social work intervention and support.
• Collaborate with families to develop and implement comprehensive support plans that address student needs.
• Conduct psychosocial assessments and evaluations to understand the underlying causes of student challenges.
• Provide crisis intervention and support for students facing acute issues such as grief, trauma, or family conflict.
• Facilitate workshops and trainings on topics related to social-emotional learning, positive behavior intervention and supports (PBIS), and child development.
• Advocate for and promote child protection policies and procedures within the school.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions and interventions.
• Stay up-to-date on relevant social work theories, practices, and resources in the UAE context.
• Collaborate effectively with a diverse team of school professionals, including teachers, administrators, counselors, and health professionals.
