Job summary

Fala Road Contracting L.L.C. is seeking a Site Engineer – Roads to run day-to-day construction on road projects.

You will ensure works are built to approved drawings and specifications, on schedule and safely, while keeping the site team, subcontractors and consultants aligned. The role requires minimum 3 years of UAE site engineering experience on road projects, with strong planning, coordination and reporting skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of UAE site engineering experience (mandatory).
• Experience on road and infrastructure projects with a roads contractor.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, BOQs and method statements.
• Hands-on experience preparing IRs/MIRs and working with consultants on inspections.
• Good knowledge of site HSE requirements and quality control procedures.
• Strong planning, coordination and reporting skills.

Fala Road Contracting L.L.C., a UAE roads and infrastructure contractor, is looking for a Site Engineer – Roads to run day-to-day construction on our road projects. You will make sure works are built to approved drawings and specifications, on schedule and safely, while keeping the site team, subcontractors and consultants aligned.

Responsibilities

Site Supervision

• Supervise daily construction activities and ensure work is performed according to approved drawings and specifications.
• Monitor site operations to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate with foremen, supervisors, subcontractors and labour teams.
• Ensure construction activities are completed safely, efficiently and on schedule.
• Resolve technical and construction-related issues on site.
• Verify completed work before inspection and handover.

Planning & Progress

• Plan and organise daily work activities in coordination with the project team.
• Review construction schedules and prioritise work activities.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment and material requirements.
• Monitor progress against project milestones and schedules.
• Assist in implementing recovery plans for delayed activities.

Technical & Engineering

• Review engineering drawings, specifications, BOQs and contract documents.
• Interpret construction drawings and provide technical guidance to site teams.
• Ensure works are executed according to approved shop drawings and method statements.
• Coordinate setting-out activities with surveyors.
• Verify dimensions, elevations, alignments and construction levels.
• Assist in resolving design discrepancies and technical queries.

Quality Control

• Ensure compliance with project quality standards and specifications.
• Conduct inspections of completed and ongoing work.
• Prepare and submit Inspection Requests (IRs) and Material Inspection Requests (MIRs).
• Monitor testing activities and quality control procedures.
• Maintain records of inspections, test results and approvals.

Health, Safety & Environment

• Ensure compliance with project HSE requirements and safety regulations.
• Promote safe working practices among site personnel.
• Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks and site inspections.
• Report hazards, incidents and unsafe conditions.
• Measure completed quantities and verify work progress.
• Monitor labour and equipment productivity.
• Monitor material deliveries and storage on site, and verify materials comply with specifications.
• Coordinate equipment requirements and utilisation.

Coordination & Reporting

• Attend progress and technical coordination meetings.
• Follow up on consultant comments and project instructions.
• Communicate project updates to management and construction teams.
• Maintain daily site records and engineering documentation.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly progress reports and productivity records.
• Deliver work that meets quality, health, safety and environmental standards.
