Role Overview
We are looking for a Site Engineer with hands-on experience in UAE infrastructure projects to supervise and coordinate day-to-day site execution of roads, utilities, and related civil works. The role ensures work is delivered safely, to specification, on schedule, and in line with authority requirements.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily site activities for infrastructure works, including roads, earthworks, drainage, sewerage, stormwater, potable water, irrigation, and utility networks.
- Execute works as per approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project schedules.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, foremen, surveyors, and supervision consultants to ensure smooth site progress.
- Plan and allocate manpower, equipment, and materials for daily and weekly activities.
- Raise and close inspection requests (IRs) and material inspection requests (MIRs) with the consultant.
- Coordinate with UAE authorities such as RTA, DEWA, Dubai Municipality, Etisalat/du, and other service providers for NOCs, permits, and inspections.
- Monitor quality of works and implement corrective actions in coordination with the QA/QC team.
- Enforce HSE standards on site and ensure compliance with company and authority safety regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Site Engineer, with at least 3 years on infrastructure projects in the UAE.
- Strong working knowledge of road construction, deep and shallow utilities, and wet utility works.
- Experience dealing with UAE authorities (RTA, DEWA, DM) for approvals, NOCs, and inspections.
- Ability to read and interpret civil and infrastructure drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (RTA, DM, BS, ASTM).
- Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD; knowledge of Primavera P6 is an advantage.
