Job summary

Guildhall is recruiting a Site Engineer – Civil to join a leading international engineering and construction contractor in the UAE.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the delivery of major high-rise commercial and mixed-use developments by coordinating site engineering activities, supervising construction works, and ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements throughout the construction lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised university.
• 7–10 years' experience delivering high-rise or major civil projects.
• Fluent with AutoCAD, Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project and related planning tools.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate site operations with the Project Manager to meet milestones.
• Review drawings, submittals and RFIs and resolve technical issues.
• Supervise works and manage subcontractors according to QA/QC standards.
• Monitor safety and ensure UAE HSE compliance on site.
• Prepare progress reports and handover documentation for project close-out.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the delivery of major high-rise commercial and mixed-use developments by coordinating site engineering activities, supervising construction works, and ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements throughout the construction lifecycle.

Job Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager in coordinating daily site operations, implementing construction programmes, and managing manpower, equipment, and material resources to achieve project milestones.
• Review construction drawings, shop drawings, technical submittals, and RFIs, coordinating with consultants and the engineering team to resolve technical issues and ensure accurate project execution.
• Supervise site activities and subcontractors, ensuring all works are completed in accordance with approved specifications, project schedules, QA/QC requirements, and contractual obligations.
• Monitor site safety performance, attend consultant and authority inspections, and ensure full compliance with UAE HSE regulations and company safety procedures.
• Prepare progress reports, resource forecasts, as-built drawings, project documentation, and close-out records while supporting the successful handover of completed works.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised university.
• Minimum of 7–10 years' experience delivering high-rise commercial, civil, or industrial construction projects, preferably with a Tier 1 or international main contractor in the UAE or GCC.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, engineering design principles, UAE building regulations, QA/QC standards, and health and safety requirements.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project, with strong construction planning, site coordination, reporting, and subcontractor management skills.
• Fluency in Arabic and English is required, with strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, authorities, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
