HUMAN-AI-Z Nexus Technology in Dubai seeks an experienced Site Engineer/Construction Manager to lead on-site execution, coordinating subs, consultants, and suppliers to meet QA/QC and safety standards. You will review drawings, monitor progress, and drive timely handovers on UAE projects.
The role requires 3–5 years of relevant UAE/GCC experience, strong leadership, and proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project planning tools.
Manage and supervise day-to-day construction and site activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
Plan, coordinate, and monitor site activities, manpower, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and project resources.
Review construction drawings, shop drawings, method statements, technical specifications, and project documentation before execution.
Ensure all site works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, UAE authority requirements, applicable codes, standards, and company procedures.
Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders to resolve technical and operational issues.
Monitor project progress against the approved construction schedule and take corrective actions to avoid delays.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly site progress reports and provide regular updates to project management.
Conduct site inspections and ensure workmanship and materials comply with project quality requirements.
Coordinate with QA/QC and HSE teams to maintain required quality, health, safety, and environmental standards.
Ensure proper implementation of site safety procedures, risk assessments, method statements, permits, and toolbox talks.
Monitor subcontractor performance, productivity, quality, and compliance with contractual requirements.
Coordinate material requirements, deliveries, inspections, and approvals to ensure uninterrupted site operations.
Identify technical issues, design conflicts, construction risks, and site constraints and propose practical solutions.
Monitor project costs, material consumption, manpower productivity, and resource utilization to minimize wastage and improve efficiency.
Attend site meetings, progress meetings, coordination meetings, and technical discussions with clients and consultants.
Ensure timely preparation and submission of RFIs, inspection requests, material approvals, progress documentation, and other project records.
Manage testing, commissioning, snagging, rectification, and project handover activities where applicable.
Maintain accurate and organized site records, drawings, approvals, inspection reports, and supporting documentation.
Ensure completion of assigned construction activities within agreed scope, quality, budget, and schedule.
Support senior management in project planning, progress evaluation, risk management, and overall construction performance.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
Minimum 3-5 years of relevant construction experience, preferably with experience working on projects in the UAE or GCC.
Proven experience as a Site Engineer, Senior Site Engineer, Construction Engineer, or Construction Manager.
Strong experience in site execution, construction supervision, project coordination, and subcontractor management.
Good knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, BOQs, method statements, and project documentation.
Strong understanding of UAE construction practices, authority requirements, safety regulations, and relevant engineering standards.
Experience coordinating with consultants, clients, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and multidisciplinary project teams.
Strong knowledge of construction planning, progress monitoring, quality control, and site safety requirements.
Ability to identify site problems quickly and provide practical engineering and construction solutions.
Good leadership and team-management skills with the ability to manage engineers, supervisors, foremen, workers, and subcontractors.
Strong communication, coordination, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project planning/reporting tools; knowledge of Primavera P6 or MS Project will be an advantage.
UAE driving licence is preferred.
Professional engineering certification or UAE municipality/authority approval will be an advantage.
Candidates with immediate or short-notice availability will be preferred.
Must currently be based in the UAE or have relevant UAE/GCC construction experience.
