Job summary

Wood is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Engineer (I&C) for a site-based role in Abu Dhabi. You will oversee and coordinate mechanical construction activities, ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and to quality and safety standards for a high-profile client.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Instrument or Control or equivalent, 15+ years in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical sectors, and strong leadership and cross-cultural communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Instrument or Control or equivalent from a recognized university.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant offshore/onshore Oil & Gas or Petrochemical experience.
• Minimum 5 years in GCC region preferred on international major projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate mechanical construction activities to meet project specs and safety standards.
• Develop detailed construction plans, schedules, and resource allocations for site execution.
• Monitor costs and schedules, ensuring on-time delivery and controlled spend.
• Inspect mechanical installations and enforce quality and environmental requirements.
• Lead multidisciplinary coordination with contractors and clients to align objectives.
• Ensure safety, health, and environmental practices are integrated into operations.
