Job summary

Wood is seeking a PMC Senior Construction Engineer (I&C) for Abu Dhabi, site-based with ADNOC Gas PMC. This role oversees mechanical and instrumentation construction, ensuring safety, quality and schedule adherence on high-profile projects.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in Instrument or Control and 15+ years in offshore/onshore Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industries, with GCC experience preferred. Wood offers a competitive rewards package within a global energy leader.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Instrument or Control or equivalent from an accredited university.
Minimum fifteen years of relevant experience in offshore/onshore Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industries.
Experience in GCC region preferred and international major projects.

Responsibilities

Oversee construction and contractor-related mechanical deliverables to meet project requirements.
Supervise mechanical works across projects and disciplines while ensuring quality standards.
Manage installation, testing, commissioning and completion activities for mechanical systems.
Control cost and schedule for mechanical works and ensure timely delivery.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors and clients to align works with objectives.
Identify risks in mechanical construction and implement mitigation measures.
Ensure safety, quality and environmental responsibilities are defined and followed.
Enforce training and inductions for mechanical personnel.
