Job summary

Golden Helix Shipping L.L.C is seeking an experienced Accountant in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates to maintain accurate financial records and support daily accounting operations. The role requires prior shipping/freight forwarding exposure and a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related fields.

You will handle journal entries, reconciliations, payables/receivables, and month-end close with strong analytical and detail-oriented skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in the shipping or freight forwarding industry is required.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, commerce, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records and financial documentation.
• Record daily financial transactions and prepare journal entries.
• Reconcile bank accounts, customer accounts, and supplier accounts.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare financial reports and assist with audit requirements.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and financial procedures.
