Gulf Navigation Holding is hiring a Senior Accountant to join its finance team in Dubai. This role is ideal for experienced accounting professionals with strong expertise in multi-entity, multi-currency environments, preferably within the shipping or maritime industry.

The selected candidate will be responsible for managing month-end closing activities, financial reporting, reconciliations, VAT compliance, and ensuring audit-ready financial records across multiple entities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end month-end closing for multiple entities
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and audit-ready documentation
• Prepare balance sheet schedules and P&L reports with variance analysis
• Perform multi-currency bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Handle intercompany transactions and ensure accurate reconciliation
• Manage vessel-related accounting (voyage costs, charter income, cost tracking)
• Oversee VAT preparation, filing, and compliance support
• Prepare audit schedules and maintain audit readiness
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of the general ledger

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Professional qualification (ACCA / CPA / CA preferred)
• 5–8 years of accounting experience (shipping/maritime industry preferred)
• Strong experience in month‑end closing and financial reporting
• Mandatory VAT filing experience
• Experience in multi‑entity and multi‑currency accounting
