STAR SERVICES LLC is seeking a skilled Brick Layer/Mason to support steel plant refractory work in Abu Dhabi. The role requires a background in bricklaying within a steel environment and the ability to follow precise work instructions.

Candidates with 3–5 years in a steel plant and experience with EAF/LF/CCM processes are preferred. The position focuses on safe, efficient lining of ladles and vessels, adherence to quality standards, and coordination with the supervisor and crane/electric

Responsabilidades

• Carry out duties assigned by Supervisor according to production requirements.
• Ensure availability of machinery, consumables and tools for refractory work.
• Ensure lining of hot vessels is done with care per work instructions.
• Inform Supervisor of abnormalities and seek guidance.
• Adhere to safety policies and keep work area clean and safe.
• Implement operational policies to deliver cost-effective, quality refractory products.

Must Have Steel Industry Experience

Minimum Education Qualifications (Must Haves)

• Diploma/ ITI

Preferred professional training (Nice to have)

• Diploma/ ITI

• In-depth technical knowledge of refractory applications and problem solving

Experience Recommended (Nice to have)

• Around 3-5 Years in a Steel Plant as a Brick Layer/Mason

• Around 5-8 Years with a mini steel plant having a EAF/LF/CCM production route

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Key Accountabilities)

• Carries out duties assigned by the Supervisor, according to production requirements.
• Ensures sufficient availability of machinery, consumables and tools required for Refractory work.
• Ensures the lining of vessels meant for hot applications are done with utmost care and as per the work instructions and guidance given by the Supervisor.
• In case of any abnormalities observed during execution of work, inform the Supervisor, and seek guidance.
• Ensures that all safety precautions in the machine being used for refractory applications are in place, abiding by the Company safety policy and regulations.
• Ensures that work area is maintained clean and free of any obstacles or encumbrances.
• Ensures the effective implementation of operational policies covering all areas of the refractory work so that all relevant procedural / legislative requirements are fulfilled, while delivering a cost–effective quality product to SMP1 Operation.

In case of an emergency, cooperates with the Supervisor and acts in accordance with the operational procedures/work instructions.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

• To impart training for new employees.
• To coordinate with Crane Operators and the EAF and CC sections, to ensure that the intended service is being provided.
• To coordinate with EAF/LRF and CC on a regular basis, to optimise the productivity of the Plant.
