What you will do: Service Engineer Lead Security (CFS) is a key role reporting directly to the Field Line Manager and will be based in Dubai. The Aftermarket CFS team carry out service maintenance and retrofit projects on Security Management Systems (SMS) and Controls used for comfort and energy efficiency across multiple industries including commercial retail and hospitality.
As a Service Engineer you will lead, execute & manage independently retrofit projects, maintenance contracts, commissioning, replacing the controllers, and you will be responsible for the onsite system verification, PPM activities, testing & commissioning of additional doors/cameras, upgradations, and service reports of SMS. You will manage the overall team of technicians and subcontractors on a roster-based 24/7 duty shift plan. You will use technical & project management skills to ensure contracts are executed within deadlines and budget.
Service Engineer will play a key & front-facing role in customer meetings, proposing designs and solutions catering to customer needs with financial acumen of projects.
As a Service Lead you must have the latest & advanced knowledge of security system products (electronics/networking systems, AI & digital solutions, etc.). You are hands-on programming controllers, installing & commissioning various Access Control System & CCTV System Platforms, Visitor Management Systems, Speed gates, Car Park barriers, Bollards, ANPR integrations, Virtualization, Level 3 Network Certifications, and testing third-party software integrations. You will demonstrate your expertise by conducting system operation training and creating handover documents to ensure a smooth handover to customers, while maintaining a high standard of safety.
As a member of this team you will work within a dynamic environment that provides a platform to develop your technical and project management skills. You will work as a project lead/technical lead in design, installation, configuration, commissioning, programming, and testing of security systems including access control, video surveillance (CCTV), ANPR, facial recognition, intercom, barriers, and visitor management, etc. You will be involved in integrations of security systems with different subsystems and have experience with database migrations from legacy access control to newer platforms. You will configure automated reports, participate in video guard integrations with video management systems, and perform commissioning of new security systems with a focus on safety and adaptability to new technology.
You will coordinate with clients IT teams to understand requirements and implement them, plan and implement gigabit Ethernet LAN/WAN infrastructure for enterprise solutions, analyze network infrastructure, and recommend solutions to optimize performance. You will install, upgrade, configure, patch, tune, and administer Windows-based servers, SQL databases, and various storage servers. You will configure and maintain high availability systems with redundancy and failover solutions, plan, test, and implement database replications and backups, and perform diagnostics to resolve complex hardware, OS, and database issues. You will support the team through technical expertise on systems, networks, and security products & applications.

As a Service Engineer you will use your strong technical knowledge in Security & Networking systems to execute site surveys and carry out full dilapidation reports, inspecting all security and low voltage systems and recommending system enhancements, upgrades, and replacements as necessary. You will understand customer requirements and concerns by meeting them regularly and provide required technical services and repairs for security systems, databases & networking.
