Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager – Events to drive new business opportunities and secure event projects across the UAE. The role requires a strong background in the events industry, with proven experience in Abu Dhabi and/or Dubai, and mandatory experience with UAE government entities.

You will identify opportunities, build relationships with clients, and lead proposals and negotiations to close deals, while coordinating with internal teams for tailored event

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Business Development/Sales within the Events industry.
• Proven track record of securing or developing event projects.
• Experience with UAE government entities or government events is mandatory.
• Strong network in UAE events, government, corporate, or institutional sectors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the UAE events market.
• Build and maintain relationships with potential and existing clients.
• Identify opportunities with government, semi-government, corporate, and institutional organizations.
• Develop and manage a strong pipeline of event-related opportunities.
• Generate leads through networking, market research, referrals, industry relationships, and direct outreach.
• Lead client meetings, presentations, and business discussions.
• Understand client requirements and coordinate with internal teams to develop proposals and solutions.
• Prepare and present commercial proposals, quotations, and pitches.
• Negotiate commercial terms and support closing stages.
• Maintain relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with event operations, production, creative, and management teams for handover.
• Develop long-term strategic partnerships and opportunities for account growth.
