Job summary

ARX Gruppe AG is seeking a senior Tunnel Engineer for its Dubai office to lead design packages of tunnels and underground infrastructure. You will coordinate geotechnical, structural, civil, MEP, BIM/CAD teams and manage technical risks while delivering high standards of engineering quality.

Requirements include a Master’s in tunnel or underground engineering, 8+ years in tunnel projects, and fluency in English. UAE work location and a strong client-facing role are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Master's degree strongly preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of tunnel/underground experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of tunnel and underground packages (TBM, NATM, drill-and-blast).
• Provide technical leadership on design strategies and risk mitigation.
• Review calculations, models, reports, specs, and drawings.
• Lead complex analyses: excavation support, tunnel linings, TBM structures, settlements.
• Manage technical risks, interfaces, and multi-disciplinary coordination.
• Act as design lead in client meetings and reviews.
• Mentor junior staff and ensure compliance with standards.
