Job summary

Duncan & Ross is seeking an experienced Senior Telecom Engineer to join our team for a major onshore oil and gas project in the Middle East. The role focuses on the design, integration, and implementation of telecom systems to ensure high performance, safety, and reliability.

You will lead detailed engineering activities, collaborate across disciplines, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring compliance with international standards and project requirements. Fluency in English is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in Electrical/Telecom engineering required.
• 10–15 years of telecom engineering experience in oil & gas onshore projects.
• Strong knowledge of ITU IEC IEEE standards and their application in oil & gas environments.
• Experience with telecom technologies such as radio, satellite, fibre optic networks and PAGA systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office; able to perform system design and integration.
• Fluent English; Arabic is a plus; able to lead and mentor teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of telecom systems for oil & gas projects, including radio, satellite, and fibre optic networks.
• Oversee detailed engineering, network architecture, system integration, and vendor management.
• Develop design documentation, layouts, specifications, and equipment datasheets.
• Ensure telecom systems meet IEC/IEEE/ITU standards and safety practices.
• Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and testing; conduct site surveys and risk assessments.
• Deliver regular technical updates to stakeholders and assist in procurement processes.
