Job summary

Jumeirah Zabeel Saray in Dubai is seeking a Senior Technician to join its engineering team. The role focuses on preventive and corrective maintenance of hotel facilities, diagnosing faults, and ensuring high safety and quality standards across the property.

You will lead and mentor Technicians and General Assistants, coordinate maintenance work orders, and maintain accurate records in line with Jumeirah Engineering standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant technical maintenance experience.
• Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance and fault diagnosis.
• Ability to guide and support junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnose technical faults and attend breakdowns to ensure minimal operational downtime.
• Execute work orders, planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and corrective actions while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
• Inspect equipment and facilities, identify root causes of faults and escalated critical technical or safety concerns when required.
• Support, guide and assess Technicians and General Assistants, ensuring maintenance work is completed accurately and within required timelines.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and support efficient use of materials, equipment and utilities in line with Jumeirah Engineering standards.

About the Job

About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• High School Diploma; a technical qualification in Engineering or a related discipline is desirable.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant technical maintenance experience, preferably within a five-star hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, repairs and general engineering systems.
• Good understanding of health, safety and environmental standards.
• Strong technical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to guide and support junior team members.
