Job summary

Tektora Limited, Abu Dhabi, seeks a senior Systems Engineer with a military communications background to join the C4I team on site. The role is permanent and open to relocation for the right candidate.

The engineer will own the design from stakeholder requirements to an interoperable system, across radio, network and security disciplines, delivering MBSE-driven solutions in a defence environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Computer/Telecommunications Engineering or Mathematics.
• 8+ years in communications systems engineering.
• Strong grounding in military protocols, waveforms and encryption.
• Network architecture for military systems: WAN/LAN, MANETs, IP over radio, SATCOM.
• Experience with TCP/IP stack including Ethernet, VLANs, serial, HTTP/S, SNMP, VoIP, SSH.
• Familiarity with INCOSE or NASA SE Handbook.

Responsibilities

• Analyse high-level requirements and derive system-level requirements down to components.
• Develop MBSE-based system designs and ensure requirements flow into the design solution.
• Produce and document interface designs and Interface Control Documents.
• Design communications architectures interoperable with military platforms (HF/VHF/UHF, data links, SATCOM).
• Develop, configure and test communication protocols including MIL-STD, IP-based protocols and secure wireless networks.
• Integrate COTS and custom hardware/software into military networks.
• Support system design reviews and manage technical risk.
• Collaborate with software, integration, simulation, QA and configuration management teams to deliver baselines.
