Job summary

hyre is seeking a Senior System Engineer in Abu Dhabi to lead the design, integration, and validation of complex wireless and secure communication systems. You will guide architecture, define requirements, and ensure hardware-software collaboration.

The role requires 10+ years in system engineering or embedded development, 5+ years with wireless tech, and 3+ years in secure cryptographic implementations. Experience in defense/high-security sectors is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field; Masters/PhD preferred.
• Relevant certifications such as INCOSE are highly desirable.
• 10+ years of experience in system engineering or embedded systems development.
• 5+ years experience with wireless communication technologies (WiFi, Bluetooth, LTE, 5G, Tactical Waveform).
• 3+ years experience in secure communication systems and cryptographic implementations.
• Proven track record in defense, aerospace, medical, automotive, or high-security sectors.
• Strong understanding of embedded systems encompassing hardware, software, and RTL design.
• Experience with hardware-software integration and system architecture design.

Responsibilities

As a Senior System Engineer, you will lead the design, integration, and validation of complex wireless communication systems, working closely with cross-functional teams to define architecture and ensure seamless hardware-software collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and maintain comprehensive system requirements, technical specifications, and architecture documentation including design specs, interface definitions, and API documentation.
• Lead system architecture development, requirements decomposition, and allocation across hardware and software components.
• Conduct trade studies and make design decisions to optimize system performance and security.

Integration & Validation

• Perform system integration, testing, and validation of wireless communication devices and embedded systems.
• Collaborate with RF engineers to ensure alignment with RF design principles, antenna systems, and wireless standards (e.g., 802.11, Bluetooth, Zigbee, LoRa, cellular).

Security & Communication Expertise

• Implement and verify secure communication protocols including cryptographic modules, hardware security modules (HSM), secure boot processes, and Trusted Execution Environments (TEE).
• Apply deep knowledge of wireless communication technologies including WiFi, Bluetooth, LTE, 5G, and tactical waveforms.

Requirements:
