Job summary

Tektora is seeking a Software System Integration Engineer (C4I) for on-site Abu Dhabi placement. Open to relocation for the right candidate, with a permanent role and salary dependent on experience.

The role blends software integration, system testing, and field deployment within an aerospace/defence context. Ideal candidates will have 7–8+ years in software development, testing, and integration, plus hands-on automated testing and DevOps tooling (Jira, Git, Jenkins, TeamCity) within Agile

Qualifications

• Degree (BSc, MSc or PhD) in Computer, Software or Electronic Engineering, or Mathematics
• 7–8+ years in software development, test and integration
• Solid track record testing and integrating aerospace and defence systems or subsystems
• Hands-on experience with automated testing
• DevOps tooling experience — Jira, Git, Jenkins, TeamCity or similar
• Experience working in an Agile environment (Scrum, Lean or Kanban)

Responsibilities

• Supporting definition of the Test and Evaluation Management Plan, including planning of test, integration, verification and validation activities
• Integration across multiple levels — software domain, software system and system platform
• Planning and running formal acceptance tests with relevant stakeholders
• Supporting system trials, demonstration events and field integration activities
• Creating and managing system test procedures, descriptions and reports
• Developing tooling to support test and integration
• Identifying and managing issues arising from test and integration
• Working with the DevOps team to establish and maintain CI/CD
• Supporting delivery of product baselines within an Agile development approach

Tektora are supporting an established defence technology client who are growing their C4I applications development team in Abu Dhabi and are looking to speak with experienced Software System Integration Engineers.

This role is open to relocation. The client is actively considering candidates from outside the UAE and will support the move for the right person.

This role would suit someone who enjoys the integration end of the lifecycle — planning and running the tests that prove a system actually works, then chasing down the issues that surface when software meets hardware in the field.

The Role
