Job summary

Dautom is engaging a Senior System Administrator in Sharjah to support a major client. The role covers administration of physical and virtual servers, AD management, patching, backup, and DR exercises, ensuring security and compliance across enterprise data centers.

The candidate will manage storage, monitoring, and escalation per SLA, with a focus on least-privilege access and CIS UAE benchmarks, in a contract with yearly renewal.

Qualifications

• Windows Server AD, DNS, DHCP, GP, PKI and file services.
• Linux (RHEL/Oracle) admin and hardening.
• VMware vSphere/vCenter virtualization.
• Enterprise backup and storage (Veeam/Commvault; SAN/NAS).
• Patch and vulnerability management (WSUS/SCCM/Intune).
• Microsoft 365 / Exchange admin & email security.
• Monitoring tools (SCOM/Zabbix/PRTG) and PowerShell/Bash.
• Security hardening per CIS UAE benchmarks.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain the client's servers (physical and virtual), operating systems, and core infrastructure services
• Manage Active Directory, identities, group policies, and access requests in line with least-privilege principles
• Plan and apply OS and platform patches in line with the client's change management and security requirements
• Operate backup and recovery; perform scheduled restore tests and support DR exercises
• Monitor capacity, performance, and health; take proactive action to prevent incidents
• Resolve infrastructure incidents and service requests within SLA; perform RCA for P1/P2 incidents
• Maintain asset and configuration records, system documentation, and operational runbooks

Position: Senior System Administrator

Job Type: Contract, Yearly renewable

Location: Sharjah

Salary - 12 K to 14 K AED

Minimum ten (10) years of systems administration, including at least five (5) years in a senior role supporting enterprise data center environments.

Mandatory certification

At least two of: Microsoft Certified Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate (or MCSA/MCSE), Red Hat RHCSA/RHCE, VMware VCP-DCV

Responsible for the administration, availability, security, and lifecycle management of the client's server, virtualization, directory, storage, and backup infrastructure.

Must-Have Skills

• Windows Server (2016/2019/2022): Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, PKI, and file services
• Linux (RHEL/Oracle Linux) administration and hardening
• VMware vSphere/vCenter (or equivalent) virtualization administration
• Enterprise backup and recovery (Veeam, Commvault or equivalent) and storage (SAN/NAS)
• Patch and vulnerability management (WSUS/SCCM/Intune, Satellite or equivalent)
• Microsoft 365 / Exchange administration and email security
• Monitoring tools (SCOM, Zabbix, PRTG or equivalent) and PowerShell/Bash scripting
• Security hardening aligned with CIS benchmarks and UAE IA standards
