Job summary

Wood is seeking an experienced Structural Construction Superintendent to oversee and coordinate all on-site activities for high-profile oil and gas projects. The role focuses on delivering projects on time, within budget, and to safety and quality standards.

Key objectives include maintaining construction quality, controlling schedules and costs, and leading multidisciplinary field teams across large capital initiatives above USD 500 million.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years Oil & Gas experience with 5+ years on major capital projects (> USD 500M) in construction and site management.
• Experience in an oil and gas operating company is highly desired and may be considered in lieu of capital project experience.
• Excellent written and verbal English communications skills required.
• Must be willing to travel extensively for multi-week periods.
• Must be qualified to obtain CICPA and UAE work visa.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for construction and contractor related deliverables.
• Supervises all areas on small projects and / or a subset / discipline on larger projects.
• Responsible for management and execution of multiple field disciplines or a subset of assigned construction project(s) in accordance with the contract and company policies.
• Responsible for execution of the work in accordance with quality standards and requirements specified for the project.
• Manages and controls project cost and schedule of assigned disciplines / subset of on-site construction.
• Coordinates field personnel work schedules to maximise utilisation and ensure work is delivered on schedule.
• Initiate safety, quality and environmental processes within their area(s) of control.

Education

Degree with a minimum of 15 years Oil and Gas industry experience, including at least 5 years on major capital projects (> USD 500M) in construction and site management

Excellent communications skills

Willingness to travel extensively

UAE work visa qualification (CICPA)
