Job summary

Egis in Dubai is seeking a highly skilled Structural Inspector to join our site team. You will conduct on-site inspections, verify compliance with Dubai and UAE building codes, identify defects and safety hazards, and prepare detailed reports for stakeholders.

You should have a civil/structural engineering background and at least 8 years of structural inspection experience, including consulting exposure. Willingness to travel to project sites in Dubai is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in structural inspection, including 3+ years with a Consultant.
• Deep knowledge of Dubai/UAE building regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough on-site inspections of structural elements in building projects throughout Dubai.
• Verify compliance with local building codes, regulations, and approved plans specific to Dubai and the UAE.
• Identify structural defects, safety hazards, and non-compliant work with a keen analytical eye.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate records using efficient data management systems.
• Review and interpret technical drawings and specifications with precision.
• Provide well-reasoned recommendations for corrective actions when necessary.
• Stay updated on local building codes, international standards, and industry best practices.
• Participate in project meetings and communicate findings clearly to relevant stakeholders.
• Organize and prioritize multiple inspection tasks to meet project deadlines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success and structural integrity
