Job summary

Egis in Abu Dhabi is seeking a detail-oriented Structural Inspector to join our supervision team. You will perform daily site inspections to ensure compliance with IFC/shop drawings, method statements, and UAE authority regulations, and coordinate with engineers and specialists to resolve issues.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree and 8+ years of UAE experience. You will maintain inspection records, issue NCRs/SORs, review concrete and steel works, and ensure health and safety on site

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
Minimum 8 years of structural site inspection experience in UAE.
Strong knowledge of UAE building codes and authority requirements.
Ability to interpret IFC/shop drawings, ITPs and method statements accurately.
Proficiency with standard inspection tools and documentation procedures.
Excellent written and verbal English communication; UAE travel may be required.

Responsibilities

Carry out daily site inspections for all structural works in line with IFC/shop drawings and method statements.
Monitor contractor activities to ensure compliance with UAE authority requirements and international standards.
Identify deviations and issue NCRs and SORs as needed.
Review concrete, reinforcement, formwork, structural steel, foundations, and waterproofing inspections.
Coordinate with engineers, architects, and specialists to resolve structural issues.
Ensure proper documentation, testing, and quality records (cube tests, FDT, plate load, calibrations).
Ensure all works follow QA/QC procedures and approved ITPs.
Provide clear guidance to contractors to fix site-related issues promptly.
Maintain organized inspection records with photos and compliance notes.
Uphold health and safety standards during all inspection activities.
