Job summary

Tawzif is urgently seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join a prestigious Abu Dhabi project. This role requires extensive UAE experience in structural engineering, site supervision, and delivering large-scale construction programmes.

You will supervise on-site activities, review drawings and submittals, ensure compliance with UAE building codes, and provide technical guidance to consultants and contractors throughout all phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering with UAE experience preferred.
• Minimum 10 years in structural engineering and site supervision on large projects.
• Experience with high-rise, mixed-use, residential or hospitality sectors is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supervise structural engineering activities and site operations on the project.
• Review structural drawings, shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals for accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure adherence to UAE building codes and Abu Dhabi authority requirements.
• Monitor on-site structural quality, safety, and engineering standards.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors and project teams to resolve technical issues.
• Provide technical guidance across all construction phases and evaluate systems.

Tawzif is urgently seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join a prestigious project in Abu Dhabi. This opportunity is ideal for a highly skilled engineering professional with extensive UAE experience in structural engineering, site supervision, and the successful delivery of large-scale construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise structural engineering activities and site operations throughout project execution.
• Review structural drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, RFIs, and other technical documents.
• Ensure compliance with UAE building codes and Abu Dhabi authority regulations.
• Monitor structural quality, safety, and engineering standards on-site.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and project teams to resolve technical issues.
• Provide technical guidance and support during all phases of construction.
• Evaluate structural systems and recommend practical engineering solutions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of structural engineering and site supervision experience.
• Strong UAE experience, preferably with high-rise, mixed-use, residential, or hospitality projects.
• Excellent knowledge of UAE building codes and Abu Dhabi authority requirements.
• Experience reviewing structural drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, RFIs, and technical submissions.
• Knowledge of reinforced concrete (RC), structural steel, foundations, and post-tension systems.
• Experience with ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, or similar structural analysis software is an advantage.
• Strong leadership, coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong knowledge of:
  • UAE building regulations and structural engineering standards.
  • Reinforced concrete, structural steel, foundation, and post-tension systems.
  • ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, and structural design software.
