Position Overview

We are hiring a Senior Structural Engineer to join our contracting team in Dubai, UAE. The Senior Structural Engineer will be responsible for overseeing all structural aspects of construction projects, ensuring technical accuracy, compliance with design specifications, and adherence to UAE regulations and international standards. This role requires extensive experience in high-rise, commercial, and infrastructure projects with proven leadership in contracting firms.

Core Duties

• Review and interpret structural drawings, design documents, and specifications for constructability
• Coordinate with consultants, architects, and engineering disciplines to resolve technical issues
• Supervise structural works including foundations, slabs, columns, beams, RC, and steel structures
• Conduct inspections to ensure execution complies with approved drawings, codes, and safety standards
• Review and validate shop drawings and bar bending schedules (BBS)
• Ensure compliance with UAE authority regulations and international codes (ACI, BS, Eurocodes)
• Collaborate with QA/QC and safety teams to maintain project quality and safety standards
• Provide technical support for temporary works, value engineering, and construction methodologies
• Manage structural RFIs, submittals, and variation requests
• Mentor junior engineers and guide site teams on structural best practices

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's degree preferred)
• Minimum 10 years of experience, with at least 5 years in a UAE contracting firm
• Strong background in structural systems for high-rise, villa, commercial, and infrastructure projects
• Proficiency in ETABS, SAFE, STAAD.Pro, AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit is an advantage
• Excellent technical, problem-solving, and leadership skills
• Ability to manage complex structural challenges in fast-paced environments
