Job summary

Tawzif is actively seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join a prestigious Abu Dhabi project. The role demands extensive UAE experience in structural engineering, site supervision, and the delivery of large-scale construction initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of structural engineering and site supervision experience in the UAE.

• Experience with RC, structural steel, foundations and post-tension systems is preferred.

Position Summary

Tawzif is urgently seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join a prestigious project in Abu Dhabi. This opportunity suits a highly skilled engineering professional with extensive UAE experience in structural engineering, site supervision, and the successful delivery of large-scale construction projects.

The successful candidate will oversee structural engineering activities, review technical documentation, ensure compliance with UAE regulations, and coordinate with project stakeholders throughout the construction lifecycle. This role requires excellent leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to manage complex engineering challenges.

Core Accountabilities

• Supervise structural engineering activities and site operations throughout project execution.
• Review structural drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, RFIs, and other technical documents.
• Ensure compliance with UAE building codes and Abu Dhabi authority regulations.
• Monitor structural quality, safety, and engineering standards on-site.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and project teams to resolve technical issues.
• Provide technical guidance and support during all phases of construction.
• Evaluate structural systems and recommend practical engineering solutions.

Skills & Experience Required

• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering; minimum 10 years of structural engineering and site supervision experience, with strong UAE experience preferably on high-rise, mixed-use, residential, or hospitality projects.
• Technical Proficiency: Excellent knowledge of UAE building codes and Abu Dhabi authority requirements; experience reviewing structural drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, RFIs, and technical submissions; knowledge of reinforced concrete (RC), structural steel, foundations, and post-tension systems; experience with ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, or similar structural analysis software is an advantage.
