Job summary

Peergrowth seeks a senior finance and strategy professional to lead corporate strategy, investment planning, fundraising, M&A, financial advisory and strategic project development across our Africa-focused portfolio.

You will drive financial modelling, valuation, and investment documentation, while structuring deals from concept to bankability and close. You will work closely with the Board, CFO and international investors to execute growth initiatives.

Qualifications

• 18–25 years total experience with 10+ years in corporate strategy, investment banking, or M&A.
• Strong background in mining, metals, energy, infrastructure, or natural resources.
• Proven track record of raising debt and equity capital.
• Experience working with senior leadership, boards and international investors.
• MBA or related master's; professional qualifications preferred (CA/CFA/ACA/ACCA).

The group works closely with international investors, financial institutions, sovereign funds, and strategic partners.

About the Role

We are looking for a senior finance and strategy professional to support corporate strategy, investment planning, fundraising, M&A, financial advisory, and strategic project development.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead corporate strategy, growth planning and investment roadmaps.
• Drive debt and equity capital raising and manage investor relationships.
• Lead financial modelling, valuation, business cases and investment documentation.
• Identify and execute M&A, JV and strategic partnership opportunities.
• Structure projects from concept through bankability and financial close.
• Work closely with the Board, Chairman, CFO and senior business leadership.
• Manage relationships with banks, DFIs, SWFs, PE firms and institutional investors.

Key Requirements

• 18-25 years of overall experience, including 10+ years in corporate strategy, investment banking, project finance, corporate finance, financial advisory or M&A.
• Strong experience in mining, metals, energy, infrastructure, industrials or natural resources.
• Proven experience in raising significant debt and equity capital.
• Strong financial modelling, valuation and transaction execution experience.
• Experience working with senior leadership, Boards and international investors.
• Africa experience, particularly exposure to investment projects and transactions, is preferred.
• MBA/Master's in Finance, Strategy, Economics or a related field; CA/CFA/ACA/ACCA preferred.
