Job summary

AMEA Power in the United Arab Emirates seeks a senior project finance professional to lead financing for international opportunities, with a focus on Franco-phone markets.

You will conduct due diligence, model financials, structure debt, and negotiate MOUs and financing agreements while coordinating with lenders and external advisors.

This role requires 8+ years of experience, CFA preferred, and expert French fluency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance or engineering.
• Master's degree in finance or equivalent (ongoing or completed).
• 8+ years of relevant work experience with multinational banks or power developers.
• 2+ years in a lead role and expert proficiency in French.
• Hands-on experience with complex project finance models.

Responsibilities

• Lead financing for projects in Franco-phone countries and manage debt-raising processes.
• Conduct financial assessments and due diligence on opportunities.
• Develop financial models, risk analysis, and stakeholder support.
• Negotiate MOUs, JDAs, PPAs, and Concession Agreements.
• Oversee external advisors and valuation activities for bids and tenders.
• Structure project finance deals and supervise bid proposals for international tenders.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Lead financing for assigned projects in Franco-phone countries
• Conduct financial assessments of potential opportunities and assist in due diligence
• Lead market sounding and debt raising processes
• Manage negotiations and execution of financing agreements
• Nurture relationships with lenders, insurance providers, DFIs, and IFIs
• Provide financial modeling, analytical support, and risk analysis for stakeholders
• Contribute to negotiations of MOUs, JDAs, PPAs, and Concession Agreements
• Assess and structure project development and investment opportunities
• Manage external advisors and consultants for valuation activities
• Lead financial structuring of bid proposals for international tenders
• Supervise valuation processes for new opportunities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or engineering
• Master’s degree in finance or equivalent (ongoing or completed)
• 8+ years of relevant work experience, preferably with a multinational, major bank, or power developer
• 2+ years of experience in a lead role
• Expert proficiency in French
• Expert skills in financial modeling and MS Office Suite
• Hands-on experience with complex project finance models
• Understanding of offtake agreements and bankability under project finance

Preferred Qualifications

• CFA certification
• Excel Macro / VBA knowledge
