You will lead BD initiatives, build strategic partnerships, and expand the company’s global presence by delivering tailored solutions to mining companies, financial institutions, governments and investors.

The role reports to the CEO and requires collaboration with geology, mineral resources, ESG and advisory teams to create winning client

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Mining Engineering, Earth Sciences or related discipline.
• MBA or commercial qualifications desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with sales, marketing, operations and leadership to ensure seamless project execution and achievement of goals.

Our client is an international consulting firm seeking an experienced and commercially driven Senior Business Development Manager to lead the growth of their international consulting business across the mining and natural resources sector This role is responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities developing strategic client relationships expanding global market presence and positioning the company as a trusted technical advisory partner to mining companies financial institutions governments and investors Reporting directly to the CEO the senior manager will work closely with technical leaders across geology mineral resources mining geotechnical engineering ESG due diligence and advisory services to develop winning client solutions

Key Responsibilities

• Lead international business development initiatives by identifying new market opportunities building strategic partnerships and driving revenue growth across global markets
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships by understanding customer needs providing tailored solutions and ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention
• Prepare and deliver high-quality business proposals presentations and tender submissions that align with client requirements and organizational objectives
• Develop and execute strategic market development plans to expand the company s presence penetrate new markets and strengthen competitive positioning
• Support marketing and brand development initiatives by collaborating on campaigns promotional activities and strategies that enhance brand awareness and generate business opportunities
• Collaborate effectively with internal teams including sales marketing operations and leadership to ensure seamless project execution and achievement of business goals
• Monitor analyse and report on key performance indicators KPIs to evaluate business performance identify areas for improvement and support data-driven decision-making

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Mining Engineering, Earth Sciences or related discipline.
• MBA or commercial qualifications are desirable.
• Passport with unrestricted international travel capability.
• Valid driver's license.
• Minimum 10 years experience within the mining industry.
• Minimum 5 years in business development, consulting, commercial management or client relationship management.
• Extensive international mining experience across multiple jurisdictions.
• Experience selling professional consulting services.
• Proven success in winning major consulting projects.
• Experience negotiating commercial contracts.
• Strong understanding of project life cycles from exploration through mine closure.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary consulting teams.
