The position requires sufficient technical depth to challenge assumptions, identify system constraints and validate optimization potential while maintaining a clear boundary between strategic portfolio analysis and detailed engineering design. The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor "s degree in Engineering and bring around 8 years of relevant professional experience, including at least 5 years working in process optimization, systems optimization, asset optimization, value chain planning or technical economics within oil and gas, LNG or petrochemical operations. Strong candidates will have hands-on exposure to identifying and quantifying debottlenecking, capacity expansion and CAPEX avoidance opportunities, ideally with evidence that projected benefits were subsequently verified through operating results. A strong understanding of gas processing systems is essential, including familiarity with NGL fractionation, compression, pipeline hydraulics, LNG systems and the operational relationships between interconnected facilities. The role requires an individual contributor who can independently structure complex analyses, question established assumptions and influence multidisciplinary stakeholders without relying on direct reporting authority. Experience presenting technical and economic recommendations to senior management, investment committees or equivalent governance forums will be particularly valuable. Excellent written and spoken English is required, together with the ability to communicate complicated system behaviour and investment trade-offs in clear business terms.
This position offers the opportunity to influence high-value decisions across one of the region\'s most significant integrated gas portfolios. Rather than concentrating on a single facility, the role provides exposure to interconnected processing, transportation and production infrastructure where small improvements in system utilization can generate substantial commercial value. Professionals with strong gas processing and optimization backgrounds can develop further expertise in portfolio economics, investment screening and enterprise-level decision support while contributing directly to production growth and disciplined capital deployment. The continued importance of gas infrastructure, efficiency and asset optimization also provides a strong long-term foundation for specialist career development within the Oil and Energy sector.
