Job summary

LevelUP HCS in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Senior Specialist to join its Bidding and Proposals function. You will act as a senior technical writer and process owner on high-complexity defense bids, turning sophisticated engineering solutions into persuasive, compliant proposals that win.

The role requires strong writing, editing, and coordination with internal and external partners, plus a solid understanding of government tender structures and Mil-Specs.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years in defense bidding, technical writing, or proposal coordination.

About the opportunity

Our client, a leading defense and advanced technology group in the UAE seeks a Senior Specialists to join its Bidding and Proposals function. You will act as a senior technical writer and process owner on high-complexity defense bids, turning sophisticated engineering solutions into persuasive, compliant proposals that win.

Key responsibilities

• Write, edit, and restructure complex proposal sections, including executive summaries, management approaches, past performance narratives, and technical discriminators


• Coordinate data calls across internal engineering teams and external tier-1 subcontractors to gather accurate, verified inputs


• Perform detailed red-line checks and compliance audits on draft volumes ahead of formal color team reviews


• Help improve proposal knowledge libraries, boilerplate repositories, and standard templates


• Translate technical capabilities into clear client benefits and win themes

What we're looking for

• 5 to 8 years of professional experience in defense bidding, technical writing, or proposal coordination


• Background in defense, aerospace, or complex technical engineering


• Familiarity with government tender structures and military specifications (Mil-Specs)


• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Engineering, or a related technical discipline


• Exceptional technical writing and editing skills, with strong organizational and stakeholder management abilities

Nice to have

• Experience with RFP, RFQ, and ITT responses and color team reviews


• Exposure to Tawazun or other UAE government tender processes, or offset and industrial participation requirements


• Experience building or maintaining proposal content libraries
