Job summary

Career Land Center, LLC in Kuwait is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to support daily kitchen operations, supervise junior chefs, and maintain high food quality in a fast-paced F&B environment.

You will lead food preparation, plating, and presentation, enforce HACCP and hygiene standards, manage inventory and costs, and collaborate with service and management to ensure smooth service. Relocation to Kuwait is required with a competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Sous Chef or similar culinary role.
• Experience in restaurants, hospitality groups, hotels, or high-volume F&B operations.
• Strong kitchen leadership and training skills.
• Good understanding of food cost control, inventory management, portion control, and wastage reduction.
• Willingness to relocate to Kuwait.

Responsibilities

• Support the Executive Chef or Senior Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations.
• Supervise food preparation, mise en place, cooking, plating, and service readiness.
• Ensure dishes are prepared and presented to company standards and recipes.
• Guide and coach junior chefs and kitchen staff.
• Monitor food quality, portion control, consistency, presentation, and timing.
• Assist with menu execution, daily specials, recipe standards, and food presentation.
• Maintain hygiene, food safety, cleanliness, and HACCP standards.
• Monitor stock levels, inventory, and kitchen organization.
• Assist with ordering, inventory control, and cost-conscious practices.
• Coordinate with service, stewarding, purchasing, and management teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Lead assigned kitchen section when required.
