Job summary

Career Land Center is seeking an experienced Sous Chef for an F&B company in Kuwait. You will support daily kitchen operations, supervise junior staff, ensure quality and consistency, and help lead the kitchen during service.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong knowledge of HACCP, food cost control, and the ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment. International multi-outlet experience is a plus; relocation to Kuwait may be required.

Qualifications

• Previous Sous Chef experience in hospitality groups or high-volume F&B.
• Strong leadership and team supervision abilities.
• Excellent communication and training skills.
• Solid knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and cost control.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure professionally.

Responsibilities

• Support the Executive Chef and senior leaders in daily kitchen operations.
• Supervise food preparation, mise en place, cooking, plating, and service readiness.
• Ensure dishes meet company recipes and quality standards.
• Guide and train junior chefs and kitchen staff.
• Monitor quality, portions, consistency, timing.
• Assist with menu execution, specials, and presentation.
• Maintain hygiene and HACCP compliance.
• Monitor stock, inventory, and wastage.
• Assist with ordering and cost-conscious practices.
• Coordinate with service, purchasing, and management teams.
• Step in to lead the kitchen section when required.
• Drive continuous improvement in efficiency, quality, and productivity.
