Position

Senior Social Media and Content Lead at Sarya Distribution General Trading LLC in Dubai, DU, AE. This Full time on site position offers great opportunities for career growth.

SARYA HOLDINGS | BRAND MARKETING Senior Social Media and Content Lead UAE and Saudi Arabia The opportunity Sarya Holdings is looking for is a senior social media leader who can turn a multi-brand food and beverage portfolio into distinctive, relevant, and measurable social content across the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

Role purpose

The Senior Social Media and Content Lead will build brand fame, cultural relevance, and commercial impact across organic social, creator partnerships, collaborations, and paid social creative. The role is accountable for creating a structure that allows several brands to perform consistently without losing their individual identity. The successful candidate will lead people and partners, anticipate what each brand needs next, and remain close enough to the work to write a sharp brief, direct a shoot, improve an edit, respond to a cultural opportunity, and explain the numbers behind a decision.

Social strategy and planning
  • Set the strategy. Create an annual and quarterly social direction for each brand and market, including audience priorities, platform roles, content territories, channel plans, and growth targets.
  • Turn strategy into action. Build monthly content plans that connect brand priorities, product launches, campaigns, retail moments, cultural opportunities, and commercial objectives.
  • Adapt by market. Create a clear UAE and Saudi approach rather than duplicating the same calendar. Protect the core brand idea while adjusting language, humor, talent, formats, and cultural references.
  • Prioritise deliberately. Decide which ideas deserve hero production, agile in-house content, creator amplification, or paid support, based on the role each asset must play.
Multi‑brand structure and consistency
  • Build the operating model. Design a clear structure for how the team manages several brands, including roles, ownership, capacity, calendars, approval routes, production resources, and agency support.
  • Balance consistency and distinction. Create common planning and quality‑control standards across the portfolio while protecting each brand's audience, positioning, tone, visual identity, and content behavior.
  • Plan portfolio capacity. Maintain a forward view of launches, campaigns, always‑on content, creator activity, and production demand so that priorities and resources are agreed upon before deadlines become urgent.
  • Understand before creating. Develop a deep working knowledge of each brand's commercial goals, products, audience, competitors, strengths, and non‑negotiables before setting its social direction.
Creative direction and priority content
  • Raise the creative standard. Develop social‑first ideas with strong hooks, cinematic craft, and platform-native pacing. Ensure the work feels current and culturally aware without copying trends blindly.
  • Direct priority content end-to-end. Write or improve briefs, scripts, captions, shot lists, and edit notes. Lead pre‑production, shoots, live capture, and post‑production for priority content while the team manages routine production and publishing.
  • Build repeatable formats. Create recognizable content series and brand behaviors that improve consistency while leaving room for timely experimentation.
  • Protect brand distinction. Maintain a clear visual language, tone of voice, and content standard for every brand in the portfolio, avoiding generic or interchangeable social content.
  • Move at platform speed. Identify opportunities early and produce responsive content quickly without weakening accuracy, approvals, or brand judgement.
Platform leadership and trend intelligence
  • Lead by platform. Define the role of Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Snapchat, and emerging channels based on audience behavior and brand objectives.
  • Track culture and competition. Monitor platform changes, audience conversations, competitor activity, and relevant UAE and Saudi cultural signals, then convert them into clear actions for the team.
  • Manage publishing quality. Oversee calendars, captions, tagging, localization, approvals, posting, and quality control across all active channels.
  • Strengthen community management. Set response standards, escalation routes, and brand-appropriate community behaviors. Identify recurring questions or sentiment that should influence content or business decisions.
Creators, UGC, and brand collaborations
  • Build creator strategy. Define the role of creators across awareness, credibility, product education, conversion, and content production for both markets.
  • Maintain an always‑on pipeline. Ensure every priority brand has a sufficient and consistent flow of relevant influencers, UGC creators, and reusable creator content rather than relying only on occasional campaign bursts.
  • Select for fit and impact. Assess creators using audience relevance, content quality, brand safety, cost, past performance, and expected deliverables rather than follower count alone.
  • Improve the work. Brief creators clearly review concepts, protect natural delivery, and ensure every collaboration produces useful content and measurable value.
  • Manage partners. Lead influencer agencies and direct creator relationships, including campaign plans, deliverables, timelines, approvals, usage rights, and performance reviews.
  • Create brand collaborations. Proactively identify and develop relevant partnerships with complementary brands, platforms, communities, events, and cultural properties that can extend reach and create genuine audience interest.
Paid social creative and growth
  • Own the creative testing agenda. Work with the performance team or media agency to develop hooks, messages, formats, and variants for structured testing.
  • Use paid learning to improve content. Review creative-level results and convert them into specific decisions about openings, duration, claims, product framing, talent, and calls to action.
  • Connect attention to action. Develop content that supports awareness, consideration, retail demand, and e‑commerce conversion while remaining credible to the platform audience.
Team and agency leadership
  • Structure and lead the team. Define the roles and reporting lines needed to manage the portfolio, then set priorities, allocate work, coach performance, and create clear ownership across social media executives, content creators, and supporting design or production resources.
  • Create an effective operating rhythm. Run weekly planning, content reviews, approval tracking, and post-campaign learning so that deadlines, dependencies, and responsibilities remain visible across every brand.
  • Improve briefs and feedback. Give specific, actionable direction that explains the audience, objective, intended response, and reason for each change.
  • Manage external partners. Hold agencies, freelancers, production teams, and creators accountable for quality, timeliness, budget, and agreed results.
  • Work cross-functionally. Partner with brand, performance marketing, e‑commerce, retail, sales, operations, and customer service teams to align social activity with launches and business priorities.
  • Remove friction for the team. Build practical templates, briefing systems, shared calendars, asset libraries, and approval routes that reduce repeated work and make it easier for everyone to deliver well.
  • Communicate ahead of the deadline. Share priorities, decisions, progress, and risks proactively. Surface blockers early, follow through on commitments, and reset timelines before delays affect another team.
Measurement and accountability
  • Define useful measurement. Set channel and campaign KPIs that reflect the objective, including qualified reach, watch time, completion, saves, shares, engagement quality, traffic, conversion, and creator efficiency.
  • Report with judgement. Build concise monthly reporting that explains what happened, why it matters, and what will change next. Avoid reporting vanity metrics without context.
  • Use evidence to improve. Maintain a learning log of winning and underperforming formats, creative patterns, creators, and audience insights across brands and markets.
Measures of success
  • Creative quality – A consistent increase in distinctive, well‑crafted, and platform‑native content that meets the agreed brand standard.
  • Portfolio consistency – Every active brand follows a clear strategy, content rhythm, and quality standard while retaining its own identity.
  • Audience growth – Sustained growth in relevant reach, watch time, engagement quality, and community participation by brand and market.
  • Commercial contribution – Stronger social traffic, product interest, and campaign conversion where tracking and retail data are available.
  • Creator pipeline – A reliable volume of suitable influencer and UGC content across priority brands, with improved fit, usability, and cost efficiency.
  • Collaboration impact – A forward pipeline of relevant brand and cultural collaborations that produce new reach, content, or commercial value.
  • Paid creative – A reliable testing pipeline and visible improvement in the creative metrics agreed with the performance team.
  • Delivery – Content calendars, approvals, shoots, and campaign assets delivered on time with fewer avoidable revisions.
  • Team effectiveness – Clear ownership, proactive communication, stronger briefs, smoother workflows, and measurable development across direct reports and partners.
Candidate profile
  • At least five years of social media, content, or integrated digital experience, including a minimum of two years leading people, agencies, or substantial multi‑brand work.
  • A strong portfolio showing the candidate's personal contribution to strategy, creative development, production, and measurable results.
  • Demonstrated experience building a team structure, workflow, and social content system for more than one brand, audience, or market.
  • Excellent visual judgement, with the ability to distinguish strong cinematography, art direction, hooks, edits, sound choices, and platform-native storytelling from content that is merely polished.
  • Deep working knowledge of major social platforms, creator ecosystems, social trends, and changing audience behaviors, with evidence of anticipating opportunities rather than reacting late.
  • Experience building an always‑on influencer and UGC pipeline and managing agencies, including briefs, deliverables, approvals, usage rights, and performance evaluation.
  • Experience originating and delivering relevant collaborations with brands, platforms, communities, events, or cultural partners.
  • Working knowledge of paid‑social creative, testing principles, and the metrics used to diagnose creative performance.
  • Strong analytical ability and confidence translating platform, creator, and campaign data into decisions.
  • Clear leadership, feedback, and stakeholder‑management skills in a fast‑moving environment with competing priorities.
  • Highly proactive communication and time management, with a record of anticipating needs, surfacing risks early, and keeping several workstreams moving without repeated follow‑up.
  • The curiosity and discipline to understand a brand deeply before proposing its content direction.
  • Professional fluency in English. Arabic is a strong advantage. Candidates without Arabic must demonstrate experience directing Arabic content with native‑language reviewers.
  • Experience in food and beverage, FMCG, retail, lifestyle, entertainment, or another culturally driven consumer category is strongly preferred.
  • Current knowledge of UAE and Saudi audiences, cultural context, and social media behavior is essential.
Working style

This role suits someone who combines high creative standards with commercial judgment and strong operational discipline. The successful candidate should be comfortable moving between a portfolio plan, a live shoot, a creator negotiation, a collaboration proposal, an edit review, a team coaching conversation, and a performance report. The role requires decisive prioritization, active communication, reliable follow‑through, and the confidence to challenge weak work with a clearer alternative. The person should make the wider team more effective by bringing structure, anticipating needs, and arriving with solutions rather than waiting for repeated direction.
