Job summary

AECOM in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to supervise gravity sewer pipelines, manholes and associated structures on major infrastructure projects. You will ensure compliance with IFC/shop drawings, method statements and authority requirements, while coordinating with survey, QA/QC and design teams.

The role requires a strong background in sewer network construction, testing and commissioning, plus UAE/GCC project experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related discipline is required.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures and inspection requirements.
• Experience reviewing technical drawings and engineering documents.
• Knowledge of utility coordination and multidisciplinary infrastructure interfaces.
• Ability to lead site teams and manage multiple stakeholders effectively.

Responsibilities

• Supervise gravity sewer construction and associated structures per IFC/shop drawings.
• Ensure works comply with drawings, specs, method statements, and authority requirements.
• Monitor excavation, shoring, dewatering, pipe laying, testing and commissioning activities.
• Coordinate interfaces with roads, water, irrigation and other utilities.
• Lead Sewer Inspectors and supervise site testing, CCTV and inspections.
• Review and close out non-conforming works and observations.
• Coordinate with Resident Engineer, design team, QA/QC and authorities.
• Prepare progress reports and maintain site records.
