Job summary

Parsons in Dubai is seeking a Resident Engineer for Traffic Monitoring Systems to lead the delivery of a complex ITS-enabled civil package. You will oversee construction, deployment, integration, testing and commissioning of the traffic-monitoring system with the Central ITS Management System.

The ideal candidate holds a civil engineering degree with at least ten years of post-graduate experience, including managerial roles on major UAE projects, and fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related discipline from an accredited university.
• Minimum ten years post-graduate experience, including leadership on major infra projects in UAE.
• Direct experience with intelligent transportation systems essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily construction supervision and verify progress against the delivery program.
• Direct specialists, engineers, inspectors, quantity surveyors and other staff.
• Oversee procurement, installation, testing and completion of the traffic-monitoring package.
• Coordinate civil, electrical, and technology workstreams.
• Integrate field infrastructure with the Central ITS Management System.
• Ensure activities meet contract, standards, budget, and quality.
• Review technical submissions and contractor documentation.
• Evaluate designs, configurations, and deployment methods.
• Monitor testing and commissioning and confirm integration requirements.
• Coordinate with client, consultants, contractor, authorities and stakeholders.
• Support regulatory permit applications and staffing/resource planning.
• Prepare progress, cost, risk, safety and quality reports.
