AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced Resident Engineer - Civil to supervise 132 kV+ substations, ensuring adherence to specifications, safety, and schedules. You will oversee AIS/GIS substation construction, installation, testing and commissioning on large-scale projects in the UAE.
The role demands a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and 15+ years in substation projects, with strong experience in 132 kV+ environments, AIS/GIS, and site supervision.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
- 15+ years of experience in substation projects, with exposure to 132 kV+ substations.
- Experience in AIS/GIS substations, testing & commissioning, and construction supervision.
Responsibilities
- Supervise construction and installation activities for AIS/GIS substations (132 kV and above).
- Monitor erection of transformers, switchgear, CTs, VTs, isolators, protection panels, SCADA and associated equipment.
- Ensure compliance with drawings, technical specifications and HSE requirements.
- Witness testing and commissioning activities and review test reports.
- Coordinate with contractors, clients and project teams to ensure timely delivery.
- Monitor project progress and prepare site reports.
- Identify and resolve technical and construction issues at site.
