Job summary

NSR Associates seeks a highly experienced Civil Infrastructure Project Leader in the UAE to drive major road, utilities and drainage projects. You will manage contractors, coordinate with authorities, and ensure delivery on time, within budget, and to safety standards.

The role requires 20+ years delivering large infrastructure, strong leadership and stakeholder management. Arabic language ability is preferred. 6-day work weeks with 10-hour days are possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience delivering major infrastructure projects (roads, bridges, underpasses).
• RTA project experience in UAE preferred but not essential.
• Arabic speaker preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage contractors and supervision teams to complete works per drawings, specs and programme milestones.
• Oversee inspections, quality assurance, HSE compliance and Traffic Management Plan implementation.
• Resolve technical, utility, traffic and site interface issues to keep progress and minimise delays.
• Review construction programmes, method statements, shop drawings and material submissions.
• Represent client in stakeholder meetings, manage variations/claims and ensure RTA compliance.

Key Duties

• Lead delivery of roads, utilities, drainage, and infrastructure works, ensuring time, cost, quality, safety, and RTA compliance.
• Manage contractors and supervision teams to ensure works are completed in line with approved drawings, specifications, and programme milestones.
• Oversee inspections, quality assurance activities, HSE compliance, and Traffic Management Plan implementation.
• Resolve technical, utility, traffic, and site interface issues to maintain project progress and minimise delays.
• Review construction programmes, method statements, shop drawings, material submissions, and technical deliverables.
• Represent the client in stakeholder meetings, manage variations and claims, and ensure compliance with RTA and authority requirements.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 20 years' experience delivering major infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, and underpasses.
• Previous RTA project experience within the UAEpreferred but not essential.
• Arabic speaker preferred.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure construction, quality control, authority approvals, and industry standards.
• Excellent project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and stakeholder management.
• Strong leadership, communication, reporting, and problem-solving abilities with experience managing multiple projects.
