Overview

Civil Inspector - Roads Infrastructure hiring opportunity in Dubai, UAE within the Civil Engineering sector for professionals experienced in roads, utilities, and large‑scale infrastructure supervision. This role supports major transportation developments by ensuring site inspections, contractor compliance, quality assurance, and construction activities are executed according to approved specifications, RTA standards, and UAE infrastructure regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project contract documents, detailed drawings, specifications, and approved health and safety procedures
• Ensure contractors comply with project standards, specifications, and contract obligations
• Maintain daily records of contractor manpower, equipment usage, and site resources
• Conduct site supervision and inspections as instructed by the Resident Engineer and Assistant Resident Engineer
• Liaise daily with contractors to ensure effective resource management, safety compliance, and equipment readiness
• Prepare daily reports covering works orders, material deliveries, inspection activities, and progress updates
• Follow up and implement all site instructions issued by the Resident Engineer and Assistant Resident Engineer
• Apply project quality control procedures and maintain compliance with QA and QC standards
• Perform site measurements and surveying checks for pipe alignments, levels, and infrastructure layouts
• Coordinate with client project managers during site inspections and technical reviews
• Monitor contractor QA and QC activities and maintain related compliance records
• Assist engineering teams in preparing correspondence related to technical compliance and site issues
• Resolve site problems promptly with support from the Resident Engineer and Assistant Resident Engineer
• Monitor start‑up, commissioning, and handover of completed works while maintaining milestone records
• Maintain records of material testing, executed works, and construction verification reports
• Conduct audit inspections to ensure contractor work matches approved plans and contract requirements

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 7 years of experience in similar infrastructure and roads projects
• Minimum 3 years of UAE experience is preferred
• Strong knowledge of roads, utilities, and infrastructure construction supervision
• Familiarity with RTA standards and UAE project compliance requirements
• Previous RTA approval is preferred
